Get Help with Intellectual Disabilities in Calgary

Individuals and/or families often require additional financial and/or legal support for family members with disabilities. A cognitive assessment will help you maximize your child’s educational and social development by identifying whether your child has an intellectual disability. This disability can affect your child’s ability to focus, plan, and control responses. Children suffering from intellectual disabilities struggle with tasks such as organizing and keeping up with responsibilities. We can also help families of children struggling with disabilities get financial help.

We offer a range of services to help children with intellectual disabilities, including:

  • Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) Support Advocacy, consultation, and coordinated support are available to access the FSCD program's services. This includes services offered through the Developmental Aide model or Specialized Services model.
